Gordon Fine brings more than 30 years of experience in labor and employment law to the RYAA team. Recognition of the critical roles of employee perception and workplace culture is deeply ingrained in him. He takes pleasure and a sense of accomplishment from figuring out employees’ issues and, when feasible, resolving those concerns to contribute to a happier, better functioning workplace.

As a law student in Washington, D.C., he interned at both the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Gordon understands how workplaces function by serving as an advisor, investigator, risk assessor and litigator for individuals, mom-and-pop operations, large corporations, non-profits and a statewide university system. He’s worked for law firms large and small, and served as in-house employment counsel.

Gordon Fine has come to understand individual workplaces through one-on-one interviews, surveys, investigations, mediations and formal discovery following initiation of a lawsuit. When he was in-house counsel for a chain of fitness centers, he also acted as the unofficial ombudsman because he developed a reputation for fairness and prompt resolution of employee concerns in a decentralized workplace.

The Society for Human Resources Management has certified him as a Senior Professional “Business Partner.” Mr. Fine graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and, before law school at George Washington University, he earned a graduate degree from Brown University and he was a Fulbright Scholar in Northern Ireland.
